Manta Point

Manta Point is one of the best dive site in Komodo National Park, East Nusa Tenggara. This place is famous as a habitat for manta rays (Manta birostris), a species of giant stingray that is often seen swimming gracefully in the surrounding waters.   • Access: From Labuan Bajo, tourists can reach Manta Point by speedboat in about 1.5 – 2 hours.

Best Time to Visit

  • April to November is the best time to visit this destination because the sea conditions are calmer and visibility is better.
  • December to March it is still possible to see manta rays, but the current conditions can be stronger and visibility is lower due to the rainy season.
